The Call Of An Artist
PHILADELPHIA, PA

I don’t know why we’ve been thrown
into the depths of this cruel world
But as an artist, I am grieved by
the unsung possibilities
I have done what I could with despair
I have walked the path of hope
Until my feet bled
I have drank from the bitter veins of freedom
And cried upon the drunken heart of democracy
Where is the happiness for my pursuit
For my blood, sweat and tears
For the renderings of my suffering—
Where is the life, after this tumultuous death
For this must be the call of an artist:
To care in a world that is careless
To confront the world with the price of a breath
And dare them to face their worth!
-The Warm Cup

"To confront the world with the price of a breath And dare them to face their worth!"
-The Bitter Taste Of Honey, Philadelphia

Born into a lineage of storytellers, Je Veux carries within him the legacy of words that have shaped generations. His journey began not with a pen, but with a deep-rooted curiosity and a passion for the human experience. His prose dances between the lines of reality and reverie, capturing the essence of life in a way that resonates with the reader’s soul.

Je Veux’s work is a testament to the power of language. Each article, each piece of writing, is a carefully crafted mosaic of emotions, observations, and insights. His words do not merely inform; they awaken. They compel the reader to pause, reflect, and see the world through a lens of empathy and understanding.

What sets Je Veux apart is his unwavering commitment to authenticity. In an age where sensationalism often overshadows substance, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of truth and beauty. He believes that journalism, at its core, is not just about reporting facts, but about telling stories that matter—stories that have the power to inspire change and kindle hope.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Je Veux is a humble observer of life’s intricacies. He finds poetry in the mundane, wisdom in the quiet moments, and inspiration in the unexpected. His demeanor is as gentle as his prose, and his presence, both in person and through his writing, leaves an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to encounter it.

He invites us all to join him on a journey—a journey to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary, to find meaning in the seemingly insignificant, and to celebrate the profound beauty of the human spirit.
